Vision:The Capacity Building and Empowerment of our beneficiaries and community as a whole through sustainable social welfare and skills development programme for the Blind & Partially Sighted, as well as the unemployed and acutely poor
Mission:The eradication of poverty as a priority and promoting the dignity and independence of all those who seek our assistance.
Objectives:
- To promote the independent living of the blind and partially sighted
- To promote the rights of the unemployed, impoverished and marginalized especially people with visual impairment.
- - To alliviate poverty by building the capacity of our beneficiaries through enterprise development and skills development.
Focus Areas:
- Skills Development and Capacity Building for the Blind and Partially Sighted (Braille,Computers etc)
- Welfare services for the unemployed and impoverished (application for grants,food parcels,soup kitchen,counselling and referral to resources)
- Enterprise Development for the impoverished (income generating projects)
- Training (solar cooking,sewing,gardening,substance abuse,preparation of work,ABET and Leadership.
Target Group/Beneficiaries:
- Adult Blind and Partially Sighted
- Unemployed and those in distress due to disasters such as floods and shack fire.
