Community Resources & Legal Advice Centre

Vision: Community Resource and Legal Advice Centre is commited to the ideal active community participation. Its development and aims not to serve only the people of Burgersdorp but also surroundig towns. In particular, it will strive to promote the practice of democracy not only in the nature of the programmes it makes but also in the day - to - day running of the centre. By so doing it is hoped to unite more fully the various culture group in the town. The centre will circulate as much information as possible about the project via schools, church groups by making an important contribution to the well being of the Burgesdorp communirt and to the open society of South Africa.


  • To focus on health issues.
  • To help people recover their dignity.
  • To work for social change in a non violent and peaceful community.
  • To focus and offer guidelines on education matters.
  • To assist the aged and disabled as far as pensions are concerned.
  • Actively to encourage the development of good democratic practice, by making all the activities of the association transparent and accessible.
  • To disseminate information.
  • To facilitate members of the community in attending workshops and training programmes.
  • To fundraise especially within the local community.
  • To assist people in legal aspects.
  • To work towards and assist in realisation of workers rights.
  • To be actively involvedin every day programmes in the community(e.g. rent problems and civil problems).
